The Jenkins Family
In 1889 William and Frances Jenkins emigrated to New Zealand, sailing aboard the Rimutaka from the Albert Docks, London to Wellington, bringing with them several children.
This grainy photo shows them at the family home in Tinakori Road, Wellington, probably in 1912. Their son Jack is lying on the rug at the feet of Frances and William.
Jack Jenkins
Jack was born in Wellington, in 1898, the last of six children.
He went on to become a much respected Chief Valuer for the City Of Wellington.
Seven Siblings
Jack married Ruth Lynam in 1921. They had three children, Freda, Bruce and Val.
Ruth died in 1937 and 3 years later Jack married Naira Prince. They had four children, Ann, Jenny, Sue and Phill.
This site aims to connect all members of the families of the seven siblings.
